Transforming Children's With Disability's Lives.
Turkana Children With Disability Organisation (TUCHIWIDO) is a registered Community-Based Organisation (CBO) based in Lodwar, Turkana County, Kenya. We are a non-profit organisation dedicated to uplifting the living standards of vulnerable children living with disabilities across Turkana.
Founded from a deep passion to protect, empower, and include children with disabilities, TUCHIWIDO works at the grassroots level—reaching families in remote villages, supporting caregivers, and ensuring that no child is left behind due to disability, poverty, or stigma.
We believe that every child deserves love, dignity, education, and equal opportunities.
To improve the quality of life for children with disabilities in Turkana by providing care, advocacy, awareness, and access to essential services.
A fully inclusive Turkana where all children with disabilities enjoy equal rights, opportunities, and a life of dignity.
Compassion – We serve with love and understanding.
Inclusivity – Every child matters.
Integrity – We work transparently and ethically.
Community Empowerment – Families and caregivers are our partners.
Respect – We honor the dignity of every child.
We conduct community outreach programs, awareness forums, and inclusion campaigns across Turkana—including remote areas like Kaikor and Kibish sub-county—to fight stigma and promote understanding.
TUCHIWIDO provides support in the form of mobility aids, basic needs, therapy referrals, and other essential services that help children live healthier, more fulfilling lives.
We walk alongside parents and guardians, offering guidance, emotional support, and training to help them better care for their children.
We collaborate with local leaders, health facilities, government departments, and well-wishers to ensure children with disabilities have access to the services they need.
